Sentenced drug dealer who hid in cemetery
(Baonghean.vn) - After asking someone to buy 2 packages of pink drugs, Huan and Khanh were transported home when they encountered the police. At this time, Khanh took the drugs and ran away, hiding in the cemetery but was later arrested.
On January 12, the People's Court of Nghe An province opened a first-instance criminal trial to try defendants Nguyen Van Huan (born in 1983), residing in Nghia Loc commune, Nghia Dan district; Luong Van Dan (born in 1964), residing in Quang Phong commune, Que Phong district; Nguyen Quoc Khanh (born in 1997), residing in Dong Hieu commune, Thai Hoa town, all for the crime of "Illegal drug trafficking".
The case file shows that around mid-2020, Huan and Khanh came to Dan's house to ask him to buy 2 large packages of pink drugs and would pay 5 million VND.
The people agreed and went to the forest area to meet two Mong men to buy and were quoted 85 million VND for 2 packages of drugs.

After receiving 69.5 million VND from Huan, on March 16, 2021, Dan went to buy drugs, asking for a delay in paying the remaining amount. That same evening, Huan called Khanh to go get drugs, promising 1 - 2 million VND for the work and some drugs to use.
At Dan's house, Huan received 2 packages of drugs with the same characteristics, weight, and price. Huan hid 1 package of drugs (weighing more than 453 grams), and gave the remaining package to Khanh to hide on his person.
On the way home, Huan and Khanh were discovered by the police. At that time, Khanh carried a package of drugs and ran away, hiding in a cemetery. At noon the next day, Khanh was arrested by the police.
The investigation agency determined that in this case, Huan, Khanh, and Dan had illegally bought and sold 2 packages of pink drugs, so all 3 must bear criminal responsibility for the amount of more than 906 grams of drugs.
At the trial, the two defendants Dan and Huan admitted to buying and selling heroin, while Khanh was evasive. Khanh did not admit to keeping a package of heroin that Huan gave him./.
However, the panel of judges determined that, based on the statements of the two defendants Dan and Huan, they were completely consistent with each other and with other documents and evidence. Therefore, there was sufficient basis to prosecute the defendant Khanh for trading more than 906 grams of drugs, which was the right person, the right crime, and the right law.
Considering the role of each defendant in the case, the panel sentenced Nguyen Van Huan and Luong Van Dan to life in prison; as a secondary accomplice, Nguyen Quoc Khanh was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
