Commending 30 exemplary Catholic families for implementing population policy well

At the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Ba Tan - Head of the Department of Population/Family Planning affirmed: Catholics are a part of the great national unity bloc, have ardent patriotism, and have made positive contributions with the people of the whole country to fight for independence and national unification.

In the renovation process, with the motto of "Good life, good religion" and "Accompanying the nation", Catholic compatriots continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with the entire people to successfully carry out the tasks of economic, cultural and social development.

In particular, in recent times, thanks to the good implementation of the population/family planning policy, Catholic families have had the conditions to develop their economy, improve their material and spiritual lives, take care of and raise good and studious children, and have the conditions to actively participate in the movement to build exemplary families, contributing to changing the face of their homeland in a positive direction.

From the practical movement, there are more and more typical families that implement the population policy well, building families with few children, equality, prosperity and happiness.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Le Minh Thong affirmed: Over the years, our province has always cared for the people of the Catholic community. The people have promoted the tradition of the 1980 Joint Letter of the Vietnam Bishops' Council: "As the Church in the heart of the Vietnamese people, we are determined to stay close to our homeland, following the tradition of a peaceful nation in the current life of the country", bringing wisdom, experience, effort and contribution to the cause of building and developing the country, building the homeland.

He also specially commended 30 exemplary Catholic families that were recognized in 2018. These are truly shining examples for the population cause, for the prosperity and happiness of each person, family and community, contributing to creating social consensus on the population/family planning policy.

In the coming years, when the province's population work is facing many challenges and difficulties, he also requested the population sector to continue to further promote the work of advising party committees and authorities at all levels to strengthen leadership and direction of population/family planning work. In particular, focusing on advising on the effective implementation of Resolution No. 21 of the 12th Party Central Committee on strengthening leadership and direction of population work in the new situation.

On the part of departments, branches and unions at all levels, it is necessary to continue to effectively implement the "Emulation - Patriotism" movement; effectively carry out health care and reproductive health care for the people, promote the role of each individual and family in participating in economic development; eliminate hunger and reduce poverty. Coordinate with the population sector to promote communication work, mobilize families, clans and communities to effectively implement the population/family planning policy.
