Recruiting people on Facebook, young man tricked and sold 3 girls from Nghe An for 20 million
Posting a job recruitment post on Facebook, Vi Hong Luan then tricked and sold 3 girls from Nghe An to a karaoke bar owner in Vinh Phuc for 20 million VND and forced them to lie that they owed the money.
On the afternoon of August 2, Van Lam District Police (Hung Yen Province) announced that they had issued a decision to temporarily detain Vi Hong Luan (born 2003, in Son Dong District, Bac Giang Province) for the crime of "Human Trafficking".
Previously, through the work of grasping the situation and managing the area, Van Lam District Police discovered the case of buying and selling employees working at the karaoke bar. Immediately after that, the police focused on verifying and investigating.
Through professional measures, the police determined that Vi Hong Luan and Luong Van D. (born in 2007, in Moc Chau district, Son La province) were hired to manage female staff serving beer and pressing songs for a number of Karaoke bars.
Luan and D. often posted job postings on Facebook. In early July 2023, seeing the job posting, Ms. Le Thi Y. (born in 2005, in Nghia Dan district, Nghe An province) contacted D. to discuss and agreed to work.
Ms. Y. invited Ms. Ven Thi G., (born in 2006) and Ms. Ven Thi M. (born in 2008), two sisters from Tuong Duong district (Nghe An province) to go to work with her. On the afternoon of July 16, Luong Van D. picked up the three young girls and took them to a rented room in Area A of the Geology collective, Tan Quang commune, Van Lam district, Hung Yen province.
That same evening, when Luong Van D. was away, Luan informed the three girls that he would no longer work here but would work elsewhere, and all three of them did not agree. At this time, Luan took away all of their phones and did not allow them to contact outside.
Luan posted on Facebook that three employees owed the owner 20 million VND, anyone who needed to recruit employees should contact Luan's phone number.
After someone asked about the 3 female employees, Luan made a deal, selling the 3 girls to a karaoke bar owner in Vinh Phuc province for 20 million VND and forced the girls to lie that they owed Luan 20 million VND.
