Vietnam women's team overcomes difficulties in training amid harsh weather in New Zealand
(Baonghean.vn) - The Vietnamese women's team is working hard every day to practice in the cold weather conditions in New Zealand.
The Vietnamese women's team had their third training session in New Zealand. In the afternoon session on July 8 (local time), coach Mai Duc Chung and his team had difficulty coping with the cold and suffering from the rain. This affected the quality of the training sessions in preparation for the friendly match with host New Zealand on July 10.

“The weather here is very different from Hanoi, 30 degrees lower. Today, there is wind and rain, so it feels colder. However, if the warm-up is good and the players can warm up, I think there is no problem with their current fitness,” said fitness coach Cedric Roger.

Overall assessment of the training sessions of the Vietnamese golden girls in the past 2 days, coach Roger said that the Vietnamese women's team players are very active. Therefore, he hopes that the girls in red shirts will be ready for the upcoming matches.

It is known that in the recent training sessions in Napier, for warm-up exercises, coach Cedric Roger asked the players to increase their agility, turning and changing direction.
“At this time, the coaching staff will focus on helping you maintain your current fitness. Of course, those who often compete will need to practice more to improve their fitness to meet the requirements of the match.

I hope in terms of warm-up, the players will have more time to avoid unnecessary injuries," said the French expert.
According to the plan, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will have one more training session on the afternoon of July 9, before entering the match against the host team, the New Zealand Women's Team, at 5:30 p.m. on July 10 (local time) at McLean Park Stadium (Napier).

After this match, the whole team will continue to practice to prepare for the important "dress rehearsal" against the Spanish Women's Team on July 14, before officially entering the 2023 Women's World Cup finals.
The 2023 Women's World Cup will take place from July 20 to August 20 in Australia and New Zealand. Coach Mai Duc Chung's team will compete in New Zealand, facing defending champions the United States (July 22), Portugal (July 27) and the Netherlands (August 1)./.
