Trainees undergo technical training and internships in Japan for three years; they receive a stipend of 80,000 yen per month for the first month of training and a salary according to the contract signed with the receiving company during the technical internship period, with a minimum salary of 90,000 yen per month in the first and second years, and 100,000 yen per month in the third year; they are also covered by insurance during the training and technical internship period.

After completing their internship program, each worker who returns home on time will receive 600,000 yen from the IM Japan organization to support their startup business.

Participating in the program, workers are not required to pay any fees other than: passport fees, visa fees, medical examination fees, pre-selection and preparatory training fees (official pre-departure training costs for four months are covered by IM Japan), and food, accommodation, and transportation costs during the training period in Vietnam.
