Recruiting more interns to go to Japan in six provinces
The Overseas Labor Center announced the recruitment of additional candidates for the internship program in Japan in three northern mountainous provinces of Lao Cai, Cao Bang, Ha Giang and three provinces in the Mekong Delta region of Long An, Dong Thap, and An Giang.

The selection program takes place in May. Workers in Lao Cai, Cao Bang, and Ha Giang provinces must submit their applications before May 19, 2014, while candidates in Long An, Dong Thap, and An Giang provinces must submit their applications before May 23, 2014, at the local Department of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs.
Candidates must be male, between 20 and 30 years old (born between April 18, 1984 and April 18, 1994 for workers in Lao Cai, Cao Bang, and Ha Giang provinces; between June 19, 1984 and June 19, 1994 for workers in Long An, Dong Thap, and An Giang provinces); graduated from high school or equivalent; 1m60 or taller; no tattoos, no disabilities, no deformities, no scars; no nearsightedness, amblyopia, or color vision disorders; healthy enough to work abroad; good ethics, good discipline, and no criminal record.
Candidates must have permanent residence and live in the above six localities; have never participated in Japanese trainee training programs.
The program to send Vietnamese trainees to Japan for technical internships has been implemented since 2006 under the Agreement between the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the International Human Resources Development Organization of Japan (IM Japan).
Trainees and technical interns in Japan for three years; receive a subsidy of 80,000 yen/month in the first month of training and receive a salary according to the contract signed with the receiving company during the technical internship period with a minimum salary of 90,000 yen/month in the first and second years, and 100,000 yen/month in the third year; are insured during the training and technical internship period.
After completing the internship program, each worker who returns home on time will receive 600,000 yen from IM Japan to start a business.
By participating in the program, workers do not have to pay any other expenses other than: passport fees, visa fees, health check-up fees, pre-selection and preparatory training fees (official pre-deployment training fees for four months covered by IM Japan), food, accommodation and travel expenses during the training period in Vietnam.
