Players take turns scoring, U19 SLNA wins opening match
(Baonghean.vn) – Only having to meet U19 Thua Thien Hue in the first match, U19 Song Lam Nghe An did not encounter many difficulties to win all 3 points in Group B - National U19 Qualifiers 2020.
This year's national U19 qualifying round has 26 participating teams divided into 5 groups. U19 SLNA is in group B with 5 teams hosted by Hue Football Team including: Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, SHB Da Nang, SLNA and Thanh Hoa.
The teams will compete in a round-robin of two legs (from March 3 to March 26, 2020) to select 7 teams and the host team of the final round to compete in the final round, scheduled to take place from April 1 to April 10, 2020.

In the opening match on the afternoon of March 3, U19 SLNA had a smooth start when they scored the opening goal by midfielder Tran Quoc Thanh after just over 10 minutes of play.
At the end of the first half, U19 Thua Thien Hue was awarded a penalty and the home team player easily defeated goalkeeper Nguyen Van Ba, leveling the score.
In the second half, U19 SLNA continued to attack and dominate the game, at the same time, young midfielder Dinh Xuan Tien was given a chance by coach Nguyen Van Tien. Immediately, U19 SLNA scored a goal to raise the score to 2-1 from a beautiful long-range shot by U19 Vietnam player Nguyen Xuan Binh.

With not much time left in the match, Tran Manh Quynh – striker of U19 Vietnam took advantage of a corner kick, jumped high and headed the ball to seal a 3-1 victory for U19 SLNA. In the remaining match, U19 Thanh Hoa beat U19 Quang Nam with a score of 1-0.
This victory helps U19 SLNA temporarily lead Group B after the first round of matches. In the next match, U19 SLNA will meet U19 Thanh Hoa on March 7 at Tu Do Stadium - Hue.
