Vietnam U23 players will have 500 million - 1.5 billion VND to celebrate Tet
A representative of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) said that up to now, VFF has received 15 billion VND in bonuses from businesses, organizations and individuals to reward U23 Vietnam for winning the runner-up position in the 2018 U23 Asia Championship. VFF pledged to transfer the bonus money to U23 Vietnam as soon as possible so that the players have money to celebrate Tet with their families.
Vietnam U23 just had a very successful U23 Asian Cup when they eliminated many tough opponents to reach the final before losing to Uzbekistan U23 1-2 in the 120th minute of extra time.
According to statistics, right after reaching the final, U23 Vietnam was announced to receive a bonus of up to 24 billion VND from organizations, businesses and individuals. After winning the runner-up position, the total bonus increased to 28 billion VND and by January 30, the total bonus was set at 32 billion VND.

In addition, U23 Vietnam also received other material rewards worth about 14 billion VND. That means the total reward for Park Hang-seo and his team after the 2018 AFC U23 Championship campaign is about 48 billion VND. That does not include the bonuses for individual players that businessmen, enterprises or organizations decide to "spend money".
However, as of February 3, VFF has only received half of the total bonus money that businesses, organizations, individuals... promised to reward U23 Vietnam. Specifically, about 15 billion VND. VFF General Secretary, Mr. Le Hoai Anh, said: "There are still many individuals and units that have not transferred bonus money as well as goods and services to U23 Vietnam."
When asked why VFF did not announce the units and individuals who transferred the bonus money to the public, Mr. Le Hoai Anh refused to answer. He only affirmed: "VFF will transfer the bonus money to the U23 Vietnam team in different installments depending on the amount of money transferred by the enterprise. VFF commits to make every effort to complete the transfer of bonus money to U23 Vietnam before Tet holiday."
In addition, Mr. Hoai Anh added: “Minister, Head of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung also requested the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to remind businesses and organizations that have announced bonuses for the Vietnam U23 team to do so immediately. We do not have many options because the units also have problems with disbursement. However, the bonuses will still be guaranteed to be completed before Tet.”
It is known that VFF has also planned to transfer the first bonus to the members of the Vietnam U23 team this week and try to complete it before the Lunar New Year. VFF will not interfere with the way the bonus is divided.
It is expected that U23 Vietnam will have 4 bonus levels A, B, C, D according to the contribution level of each individual. Accordingly, each individual U23 player will receive from 500 million to 1.5 billion VND to have a prosperous Tet with their family.
