(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 9th, in Vinh City, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, in coordination with the Department of Information and Communications, organized the regular monthly press briefing for November.

Comrades Le Ba Hung, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, and Ho Quang Thanh, Director of the Department of Information and Communications, chaired the conference.

Based on the assessment report and discussions at the conference, in November, the press agencies did a good job of disseminating information, ensuring adherence to their principles and objectives. In addition to publicizing political events such as: the 8th session of the 13th National Assembly; the meeting between the 16th Provincial People's Council and voters; the working visit of the Hanoi City delegation led by Comrade Pham Quang Nghi, Member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee, to Nghe An; the visit of diplomatic delegations from the Russian Federation to Nghe An; and the provincial leaders' meetings with the World Bank and FPT Group, local authorities and units in the area focused on prominently publicizing the UNESCO recognition of Nghe Tinh folk songs as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity; exemplary models; and difficulties and obstacles in socio-economic development and national defense and security.

Particularly during the month, media outlets such as Nghe An Newspaper and the provincial Radio and Television Station launched a special section titled "Highlights of the Term," featuring quite good articles on the implementation of the goals and tasks of the 2010-2015 term; relevant agencies and departments seriously addressed and responded to the issues raised by the press.

In addition, it should be noted that authorities need to better manage websites to avoid chaos and information disruption; and newspapers and media outlets should promptly address low-quality news and articles…

Concluding the conference, Comrade Le Ba Hung emphasized that in the coming period, press agencies should closely follow the orientation and focus on extensively publicizing the results of implementing the Resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2010-2015 term, the preparation for the Party Congresses at all levels; the results of implementing socio-economic development tasks in 2014, and the direction and tasks for 2015; the 13th session of the Provincial People's Council; the results of implementing the "Learning and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh" campaign in conjunction with Resolution No. 4 of the Central Committee (11th term), Directive 17 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on "Strengthening administrative discipline and order in agencies and units in the province"... and events commemorating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Army, the 25th anniversary of the National Defense Day...
