Propaganda to prevent drowning and child sexual abuse

(Baonghean.vn) - On May 22, primary schools in Nghia Dan and Quynh Luu districts organized an extracurricular program "Propaganda on drowning prevention and child sexual abuse prevention."

At the program, children were taught and guided on knowledge and skills on preventing and combating sexual abuse. In addition, team members and children were also trained on how to prevent and combat child sexual harassment and abuse through dramatization, watching skits, propaganda billboards, and games related to knowledge on preventing and combating child sexual abuse.

In addition, students also learn about the causes and measures to prevent drowning accidents; rescue, first aid, and emergency care when encountering drowning accidents; things to pay attention to during drowning emergency care. From there, apply in practice to ensure safety for themselves as well as assist drowning cases.

In order to reduce the possibility of drowning accidents for students, this time, Quynh Luu district invited 2 volunteers who are physical education teachers of Quynh Thach Primary School to instruct nearly 800 students of Quynh Thanh A Primary School on skills, how to hold their breath when diving underwater; crawl swimming techniques, coordination of limb techniques... At the same time, students are advised not to play near ponds and lakes with danger signs. In particular, when swimming, an adult must accompany them, and they should not swim alone or with a group of students.
