Vietnam team received good news before leaving for the Philippines
(Baonghean.vn) - Before leaving for the Philippines to play the opening match of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers, the Vietnamese team received good news when defender Que Ngoc Hai was able to return to training with his teammates.
On the evening of November 11, the Vietnam National Team continued to practice on the artificial turf field at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center, preparing for the away match in the Philippines in the opening match of Group F, 2026 World Cup Qualifiers. At this practice session, coach Philippe Troussier continued to close the door to the media, to ensure that the tactics were kept confidential.

Also in this training session, the Vietnamese team received good news when defender Que Ngoc Hai was able to return to training with his teammates. Previously, Que Ngoc Hai injured his leg muscle in the match between the Vietnamese team and the Chinese team in Dalian (China) during FIFA Days in October. At that time, Que Ngoc Hai was diagnosed to be out of action for about 4 weeks.

Since then, Que Ngoc Hai has been actively practicing recovery under the guidance of the team doctor. In recent days, this defender has also strictly followed a separate treatment regimen and has made very positive progress. By today's training session, he was able to join the general exercises with the whole team.
Also today, coach Philippe Troussier made his first decision on personnel when he said goodbye to defender Truong Tien Anh. If nothing changes, before leaving for the Philippines, the French coach will reduce the team list to 28 players.

Meanwhile, the group of young players called up to practice with the national team to gain experience in preparation for the 2024 AFC U23 Championship Finals, including Tran Nam Hai, Bui Vi Hao, Vo Nguyen Hoang, Nguyen Quang Huy, Ha Van Phuong, and Tran Manh Quynh, have completed their training plans and have been returned to the Club.
Today (November 12), the team will have their last training session at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center, then leave for Manila, Philippines on the morning of November 13.
In Manila, coach Philippe Troussier and his team will have 3 more training sessions to get used to the weather and field conditions before entering the match with the Philippines team on November 16./.
