SLNA midfielder's masterpiece honored by AFC
With a super cannonball goal against Tampines Rovers in the AFC Cup, midfielder Ho Khac Ngoc of SLNA was honored in the award "Most beautiful goal of the opening match of the AFC Cup group stage".
As known, SLNA just won against Tampines Rovers in the opening match of the AFC Cup group stage. In which, midfielder Ho Khac Ngoc contributed a wonderful goal from a cannon shot outside the penalty area.

With this masterpiece, Ho Khac Ngoc surpassed a series of other opponents such as Safaa Hadi (Al Zawraa - Iraq), Salih Sadir (Al Quwa Al Jawiya - Iraq) and OJ Porteria (Kaya - Philippines) to win the award for "Best goal of the opening match of the AFC Cup group stage".
The SLNA player received 51% of the votes in the poll on the AFC's homepage, far surpassing the second-placed OJ Porteria, who received 27% of the votes. This is good news for Khac Ngoc as well as Vietnamese football on the occasion of the New Year.
After a 2-0 win over Tampines Rovers in the opening match of the AFC Cup, SLNA will return home to face Johor Darul Tazim from Malaysia on February 28. Currently, the Nghe An club is ranked 2nd in the group behind Johor Darul Tazim, who won 3-0 against Persija Jakarta from Indonesia.
