On the evening of August 18, Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, Director of the Department of HealthNghe An; Comrade Pham Thi Hong Toan - Secretary of the Town Party Committee with leaders of Nghe An Department of Health, leaders of the Town Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of the townCua Lowas present at Doan Ket and Binh Minh blocks of Nghi Thuy ward to survey, evaluate and direct the implementation of medical isolation to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic.

As reported by Nghe An Newspaper: At 5:00 p.m. on August 17, Cua Lo town discovered 2 Covid-19 patients in the community; residing in Nghi Thuy ward; related to Vinh wholesale market and many other locations in Cua Lo town.
With many risks of widespread infection, the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Nghe An province has decided that Cua Lo town will implement social isolation according to Directive 16 starting from 0:00 on August 19; requiring Cua Lo town to implement social isolation and medical isolation in residential areas where infected cases live in an appropriate and scientific manner.
