Hoang Mai District: Measles and rubella vaccination for children aged 6-10 years.

(Baonghean.vn) - Implementing the second phase of the free measles-rubella vaccination campaign, on December 4th and 5th, the Hoang Mai Town Health Center organized vaccination for children in wards, communes, and schools. In this second phase of the campaign, 9,268 children will receive the vaccine.

The second phase, held from December 4th to 8th, 2014, saw the Hoang Mai town health department deploying staff to supervise and direct the vaccination process in accordance with health regulations. The vaccination procedure was strictly followed, from screening and consultation to vaccination, post-vaccination monitoring, and withholding vaccinations for children with contraindications.

Vaccination against measles and rubella is available at the Quỳnh Thiện ward health station.

According to a quick summary, as of December 5th, 8,815 children have been safely vaccinated with no adverse events reported. The remaining children will be vaccinated in the coming days, aiming to achieve 100% vaccination coverage for children aged 6-10 against measles and rubella by December 8th.
