Thai Hoa Town: Establishing 10 clubs for preventing and combating domestic violence.

(Baonghean.vn) -On July 11th, the People's Committee of Thai Hoa town organized a conference to commend exemplary cultural families and to review the implementation of the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence over the period of 2008-2013.

Over the past five years, the movement "All people unite to build a cultured life in residential areas" has received widespread support from the people.The people donated more than 22,300 square meters.²Hanoi has voluntarily contributed 35.4 billion VND to build new rural areas and renovate urban areas.Over the past year, the entire town has raised over 700 million VND for the "For the Poor" fund to help disadvantaged people in the area.

The town has also implemented the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence through diverse and effective actions. 126 out of 126 blocks and hamlets have mediation teams, and 10 Domestic Violence Prevention and Control Clubs have been established, thereby helping to raise people's awareness of strictly complying with the law and promptly resolving and handling violations at the grassroots level. To date, 86.6% of households in the town have achieved the status of "Culturally Advanced Family," with exemplary families such as the family of veteran Pham Ngoc The in Tay Ho 2 block, Quang Tien ward, which is a model family in charitable activities and has been recommended for central government commendation; the Catholic family of Nguyen Thai Hoc in hamlet 5A, Nghia Thuan commune, which is a model family living a good life, upholding moral values, and loving God and the country; and the "prosperous and happy farmer" family of Ho Sy Dieu - of the Tho ethnic group in hamlet 4, Nghia Tien commune…

Certificates of commendation were awarded to exemplary cultural families.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of the town awarded certificates of commendation to 12 exemplary cultural families and 5 units and 16 individuals for their outstanding implementation of the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence during the period 2008-2013.
