U15 Song Lam Nghe An determined to overcome difficulties, win in the Quarterfinals of the National U15
Despite being greatly affected by storm No. 3, U15 Song Lam Nghe An still tried to overcome difficulties, determined to win the Quarter-final match.
Big disadvantage before the Quarterfinals
The 2024 National U15 Tournament is entering the Quarterfinals. In this round, U15 Song Lam Nghe An will face U15 Viettel.
As planned, the match between U15 Song Lam Nghe An and U15 Viettel was scheduled to take place at 3:00 p.m. on September 8. However, on September 7, super typhoon No. 3 made landfall in the northern provinces, so the Quarterfinal match could not take place as scheduled.

Talking about the disadvantages of the home team, coach Nguyen Van Tien said: "As expected, the Quarterfinal match between Song Lam Nghe An and Viettel was scheduled to take place at 3:00 p.m. this afternoon, September 8, but due to the impact of storm No. 3, the field was not guaranteed, so the tournament organizers had to postpone the time to 1:30 p.m. on September 9, which greatly affected the teams, but U15 Song Lam Nghe An was at a greater disadvantage than their opponents. Because before that, due to not being able to find a place to stay close to the competition venue, the entire U15 Song Lam Nghe An team had to stay at a hotel more than 20km from PVF Stadium. When competing at 1:30 p.m., it will greatly affect the biological rhythm of the Nghe players.
Specifically, due to the long distance, to ensure that they are present at the stadium as scheduled, the athletes must have lunch quite early and cannot take a nap. That will affect the health of the players. However, I still encourage my students to overcome all difficulties to win the Quarterfinals."

Determination for the Quarterfinals
The opponent of U15 Song Lam Nghe An in the Quarterfinals of the 2024 National U15 Tournament is U15 Viettel. As we know, U15 Viettel this season is not as formidable as previous seasons. In the group stage, this team only got 6 points after 2 wins and 1 loss, ranking 2nd.
Meanwhile, U15 Song Lam Nghe An played quite well this season and quickly won a ticket to the Quarterfinals after only 2 matches. Coach Nguyen Van Tien's team finished 3 matches in Group C in first place.

However, when evaluating the opponents, the head coach of U15 Song Lam Nghe An still said: "The 8 teams entering the Quarterfinals are all very worthy. I highly appreciate the Viettel team. They have a smooth and effective playing style, including many outstanding individuals. However, Song Lam Nghe An is determined to win the Quarterfinal match."
To best prepare for the match against Viettel, on the afternoon of September 8, U15 Song Lam Nghe An had a training session on the artificial turf field. During this training session, the coaching staff of the Nghe An team deployed a number of new attacking strategies. In addition, coach Nguyen Van Tien also gave exercises to overcome the strengths that the opponent had shown.

Especially at the end of the training session, the U15 Song Lam Nghe An coaching staff had their players practice penalty kicks. This will be necessary to train the players in how to shoot 11m, and also a mental therapy to build confidence and composure for Nghe An strikers before the big match.
Hopefully with careful preparation, U15 Song Lam Nghe An will continue to have a convincing match against opponent Viettel to register their name to play in the Semi-finals.
The Quarterfinal match will take place at 1:30 p.m. on September 9, at PVF Stadium.
