U17 PVF won the National U17 Championship Football Newspaper - Thai Son Nam Cup 2014

Two goals by Duc Chinh and Anh Khoa in the second half helped U17 PVF defeat U17 HN.T&T to win the 2014 National U17 Football Newspaper - Thai Son Nam Cup.

Attending the final match of the National U17 Football Newspaper - Thai Son Nam Cup 2014 were Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan - Vice President of VFF, Member of the Steering Committee of the tournament; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Gu - Vice President of VFF, Member of the Steering Committee of the tournament; Mr. Duong Nghiep Khoi, Deputy General Secretary of VFF, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the tournament.

On the side of the Organizing Committee, there were Mr. Nguyen Van Phu, Editor-in-Chief of Football Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee; Ms. Thac Thi Thanh Thao, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Football Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee.

Also attending the final match were Mr. Phan Cong Tuyen, member of the Central Committee, Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Head of the Culture and Social Affairs Department of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Council. Representing the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thua Thien Hue province were Mr. Phan Tien Dung, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and other members of the Department's Board of Directors.

On the sponsor side, there is Mr. Tran Anh Tu, Chairman of the Board of Members of Thai Son Nam Trading Company Limited - Deputy Organizing Committee of the tournament.

And we cannot fail to mention the large number of enthusiastic football fans of Hue city who came to Tu Do stadium to cheer on the two teams. Right before the final match started, there was the closing ceremony of the National U17 Finals of Football Newspaper - Thai Son Nam Cup 2014 in a bustling and solemn atmosphere.

The final match started in unfavorable weather conditions with heavy rain. However, the professional quality of the two teams did not decrease. The young players of PVF and HN.T&T soon gave the audience attractive tit-for-tat attacks.

If PVF showed superior ball control, HN.T&T had an extremely sharp Quang Hai who was always a lurking threat to goalkeeper Thanh Tuan's goal.

While the first half was relatively tense, the turning point came with the unfortunate red card for Van Long, forcing HN.T&T to play with one less player from the 41st minute. This advantage was well utilized by the young PVF players in the second half, specifically scoring two goals.

In the 60th minute, starting from a teammate's attempt to dribble the ball on the left wing and then cross it in, player Duc Chinh bravely flew up and headed the ball in a comfortable position to score the opening goal for PVF.

U17 PVF had a worthy victory.

With the lead and high spirits, PVF continuously besieged the HN.T&T goal and just 8 minutes later, they raised the score to 2-0. The scorer was captain Van Khoa with a neat right-footed shot in the penalty area that sent the ball diagonally to the far corner.

Conceding two quick goals and losing in numbers, despite their best efforts, HN.T&T could not change the situation in the remaining time and had to accept watching their opponent PVF lift the 2014 National U17 Championship Cup of Football Newspaper - Thai Son Nam Cup.
