PVF U17 won the 2014 National U17 Football Championship - Thai Son Nam Cup.

Goals from Duc Chinh and Anh Khoa in the second half helped U17 PVF defeat U17 HN.T&T to win the 2014 National U17 Football Newspaper Cup - Thai Son Nam Cup.

Attending the final match of the 2014 National U17 Football Newspaper Cup - Thai Son Nam Cup were Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan - Vice President of the VFF, Member of the Organizing Committee; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Gu - Vice President of the VFF, Member of the Organizing Committee; and Mr. Duong Nghiep Khoi, Deputy Secretary General of the VFF, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee.

Representing the organizing committee were Mr. Nguyen Van Phu, Editor-in-Chief of Bong Da newspaper and Head of the Organizing Committee; and Ms. Thac Thi Thanh Thao, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Bong Da newspaper and Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee.

Also attending the final match were Mr. Phan Cong Tuyen, Central Committee member, Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, and Head of the Culture and Social Affairs Committee of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Council. Representing the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism were Mr. Phan Tien Dung, Provincial Party Committee member and Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, along with other members of the Department's Board of Directors.

Representing the sponsor was Mr. Tran Anh Tu, Chairman of the Board of Members of Thai Son Nam Trading Co., Ltd. – Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the tournament.

And we cannot fail to mention the large number of passionate football fans from Hue city who came to Tu Do Stadium to cheer on the two teams. Just before the final match began, the closing ceremony of the 2014 National U17 Football Championship - Thai Son Nam Cup was held in a lively and solemn atmosphere.

The final match kicked off in unfavorable weather conditions with heavy rain. However, the professional quality displayed by both teams was not diminished. The young players of PVF and HN.T&T quickly provided viewers with exciting back-and-forth attacking plays.

While PVF showed superior ball control, HN.T&T had a remarkably sharp individual in Quang Hải, who was always a lurking threat to goalkeeper Thanh Tuấn's goal.

While the first half was largely evenly matched, the turning point came with the unfortunate red card for Van Long, forcing HN.T&T to play with ten men from the 41st minute. The young PVF players capitalized on this advantage in the second half, scoring two goals.

In the 60th minute, following a cross from a teammate on the left wing, Duc Chinh bravely leaped and headed the ball into the net from a comfortable position, breaking the deadlock for PVF.

U17 PVF secured a well-deserved victory.

Having taken the lead and boosted their morale, PVF relentlessly attacked HN.T&T's goal, and just 8 minutes later, they extended their lead to 2-0. The goalscorer was captain Van Khoa, with a neat right-footed shot from inside the penalty area that went diagonally into the far corner.

Having conceded two quick goals and being outnumbered, HN.T&T, despite their best efforts, could not change the situation in the remaining time and had to accept watching their opponent PVF lift the U17 National Championship trophy at the Bóng đá – Thái Sơn Nam Cup 2014.
