U17 SLNA won a ticket to the national U17 finals one round early

Before the second leg match against U17 Hong Linh Ha Tinh, U17 SLNA had 14 points and ranked first in Group B. In the first leg match, the Nghe An team easily won against the neighboring team with a score of 4-1.

With the plan of only needing a draw to qualify for the next round, coach Phan Tien Hoai did not field his strongest squad. However, the yellow team was still very confident when entering the match. They completely dominated the game and quickly took a 2-0 lead in the first 45 minutes.

In the second half, although U17 SLNA did not increase the speed of the match, the Nghe An club still scored 2 more goals.

The 2022 National U17 Football Championship Qualifiers have 25 participating teams, divided into 5 groups. U17 SLNA is in Group B with U17 Dong A Thanh Hoa, U17 Hong Linh Ha Tinh, U17 Nam Dinh and the host team U17 Hue. The teams compete in a round-robin of 2 home and away matches, calculating rankings; selecting 5 first-place teams, 5 second-place teams and 2 third-place teams with the best results to enter the final round.

The final round takes place from August 26 to September 8, with 12 teams expected to participate.
