Taking the lead again like the match against U19 Seoul, but in the end, U19 HAGL was still held to a 1-1 draw by U19 Mito Hollyhock. Coach "Giom" lost points in the eyes of the home fans when his team played too naively.

Compared to the U19 National Tournament that ended not long ago, U19 HAGL played better but they still could not escape the vicious cycle of mistakes that Mr. Guillaume has been making for a long time.

After the reverse loss to U19 Seoul, U19 HAGL must beat U19 Mito Hollyhock to have any hope of competing in the top 3. The home team can do this when the away team is only made up of quite immature student players.

And the developments on the field showed that the home team, with favorable conditions, played more dominantly to score the opening goal thanks to Minh Binh. This is the biggest highlight of U19 HAGL in this year's tournament when Minh Binh is the one who scored both goals for U19 HAGL up to now.

In the stands, coach Hoang Anh Tuan and technical director Gede will probably "choose" this player to join the U19 Vietnam team instead of "no one deserves to be called" as before.

Dominating more but as an inherent weakness, U19 HAGL was equalized 10 minutes before the end of the match when they let Hirata Kaito pass the ball to Koinuma Kanaya who finished past Van Loi.

The home team's unfortunate 1-1 draw kept them stuck in 4th place, just above U19 Chonburi who had decided to go to Pleiku to "have more fun". U19 Mito Hollyhock is currently ranked 3rd with 4 points and they still have a chance to win the championship if they defeat the remaining 2 strong opponents of the tournament, U19 Vietnam and U19 Seoul (Korea).

Coach Guillaume Graechen was disappointed: “I cannot be satisfied when the players are eager to express the team's style of play. They want to execute each pass as quickly and perfectly as possible, but that is not good at times.

The common point of Japanese teams is that they are very calm, whether they win or lose, they always try to control the ball and regain control of the game. My students fought with the highest spirit and carried out the coaching staff's plan well, but not quickly. We have to learn patience from our opponents."

On the away team’s side, head coach Kimori Daisuke said: “U19 Mito Holyhock were mentally exhausted in the first half. They made many mistakes and unnecessary mistakes. The mistake led to the first goal. However, they are students, young so that’s how it is. I don’t think this 1-1 draw is lucky because both teams set the goal of winning when entering the match.

We made mistakes, U19 HAGL also made mistakes. Each international match this year is like a lesson for us and we have to learn from it.”
