U19 Song Lam Nghe An is at risk of not being able to participate in the National U19 Tournament?

Unlike previous years, the time frame for the TournamentNational U192025 has been changed by the Vietnam Football Federation. Accordingly, the qualifying round of the 2025 National U19 Championship will start from December 22, 2024 to the end of January 2025. This has directly affected clubs that are relying on the State budget for youth training, includingLam River Nghe An.

Because according to financial principles, the State budget cannot provide for a U19 team to participate in 2 National U19 tournaments in 1 year. This has made it difficult for U19 Song Lam Nghe An to find resources to participate in the 2025 National U19 tournament.

Faced with this difficulty, Mr. Ho Le Duc - General Director of Song Lam Nghe An Club said: "I have directed Song Lam Nghe An Youth Football Training Center to submit a report to the Department of Culture and Sports to present the difficulties in participating in the 2025 National U19 Tournament of U19 Song Lam Nghe An. At the same time, the Nghe An youth football training center will also coordinate with many other youth football training centers across the country to send an official dispatch to the Vietnam Football Federation requesting to postpone the organization of the 2025 National U19 Tournament to early January 2025. The postponement will create favorable conditions for all youth football training centers across the country to be able to participate in the tournament fully with the best professional quality".

Previously, in the 2024 season, U19 Song Lam Nghe An under the leadership of coach Huy Hoang performed quite convincingly, but lacked a bit of luck and only won the Bronze Medal.

Entering this year's season, coach Nguyen Huy Hoang continues to be entrusted with the important responsibility of being the head coach of the U19 Song Lam Nghe An team.

The U19 Nghe An team was selected to include players born in 2006 and outstanding players from the U17, U16 and U15 classes of Song Lam Nghe An. Notably, more than half of the U19 Song Lam Nghe An team has just participated in the 2024 National Third Division in the PVF-CAND Youth Team. In particular, the Nghe An players have made great contributions to helping the PVF-CAND Youth Team win promotion.

After completing the Third Division, U19 Song Lam Nghe An has started training, preparing for the 2025 National U19 Tournament. If U19 Song Lam Nghe An cannot participate in the tournament, it will be a great loss for the young players of Nghe An. They will not have the opportunity to compete and gain experience before stepping onto the professional playing field.
