U19 Song Lam Nghe An is in the group of death in the 2023 National U19 qualifying round

The 2023 National U19 Qualifiers have 28 participating teams including: An Giang, Becamex Binh Duong, Binh Dinh, Binh Phuoc, Binh Thuan, Can Tho, Cong An Hanoi, Dong A Thanh Hoa, Dong Nai, Dong Thap, Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hoang Anh Gia Lai, Hue, Khanh Hoa, Kon Tum, Lam Dong, Long An, Nam Dinh, Phu Yen, PVF, Quang Ngai, SHB Da Nang, Song Lam Nghe An, Tay Ninh, Tien Giang, Ho Chi Minh City, Viettel.

The participating teams will be divided into 5 groups. In which, U19Lam River Nghe Anwill be in group B with Hue, Nam Dinh, SHB Da Nang and PVF. This is a group that is considered to have the participation of quite strong teams.

In addition, PVF has affirmed its brand by possessing a team with equal professional qualifications. In particular, the core players are the players who just won the 2022 National U17 Championship. Besides, Hue, Nam Dinh or Da Nang also have a long tradition in youth training. Therefore, winning a ticket to the next round is not easy for the Nghe An team.

According to the rules set by the Organizing Committee, in the qualifying round, the teams will compete in a round-robin format (home and away) in the host city. The rankings in each group will be calculated. The 5 first-place teams, 5 second-place teams and 1 third-place team with the best results in the 5 groups will be selected for the Final Round.

U17 Song Lam Nghe An participating in this year's tournament has 30 players led by coach Nguyen Van Vinh. The team's personnel is a combination of 3 classes U19, U18 and U17 Song Lam Nghe An.

It is expected that next week the team will leave for Hung Yen to practice and prepare for the qualifying round at PVF Stadium. The qualifying round of the 2023 National U19 Championship will take place from March 26 to April 17, 2023./.
