Vietnam U19 will test their skills against U19 teams from Arsenal, Fulham, and Tottenham.

According to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), during their upcoming training camp in England, the Vietnam U19 team will have the opportunity to test themselves against very high-level opponents, including Arsenal U19, Tottenham Hotspur U19, and Fulham U19.

Vietnam U19 has the opportunity to test their skills against strong teams from London.

The disappointing performance at the 2014 International U19 tournament, especially the crushing defeat against Japan, dealt a major blow to the confidence of Mr. Duc and the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) regarding the generation of players who were expected to be the savior of Vietnamese football during its crisis. Therefore, Mr. Duc and the VFF, or more precisely, candidate for VFF President in the 7th term, Le Hung Dung, did not hesitate to open their wallets and send the team to train in Europe, with England and Belgium being the two chosen destinations.

Thanks to his excellent relationship with Arsenal FC, Mr. Duc easily received support from the London club for a 20-day training camp. During this camp, the Vietnam U19 team will participate in five practice matches against top-tier opponents, including three already confirmed teams: Arsenal U19, Fulham U19, and Tottenham U19. The remaining two opponents are expected to be from London clubs, possibly West Ham U19 or even Chelsea U19.

To prepare for their training camp in England, the Vietnam U19 team will reconvene on February 24th at Ham Rong (Gia Lai) and train there until March 1st before departing for London.

After 20 days of training in London, the Vietnam U19 team will move to Belgium to continue their training for another month. There, the Vietnam U19 team will have practice matches with the Arsenal Global Academy and several other youth teams.

After concluding their training camp in England and Belgium, the Vietnam U19 team returned home and reconvened in June to prepare for their next "study abroad" trip, expected to last about 23 days in Japan. This will also be the final training camp for the Vietnam U19 team before competing in the 2014 AFF U19 Championship in early September and, more importantly, the 2014 AFC U19 Championship in early October, a tournament where the Vietnam U19 team has been instructed to finish in the top four to qualify for the 2015 FIFA U20 World Cup.

Despite some reports that the HAGL Arsenal JMG Academy has terminated its contract with coach Guillaume Graechen, the French coach remains in charge of the Vietnam U19 team throughout their training camp in England and Belgium, according to the latest list announced by the VFF. However, given his poor game reading ability and simplistic tactical thinking, as demonstrated at the 2014 International U19 Tournament, Guillaume Graechen is predicted to have difficulty retaining his position as head coach of the Vietnam U19 team for much longer.

It is understood that tonight (February 17th), the Vietnamese U19 players will arrive in Hanoi to prepare for visa application procedures at the British Embassy and the Belgian Embassy.
