On the afternoon of December 26, the Disciplinary Board of the Vietnam Football Federation decided to disqualify U21 Gia Dinh from the 2022 National U21 Tournament because the team violated the regulations of allowing players to play for 3 teams in 1 season. Specifically, U21 Gia Dinh sent player Le Van Truong to play in a number of matches, in the 2022 National U21 qualifying round. It is known that in the 2022 season, Le Van Truong played for 3 clubs: Hoang Anh Gia Lai, Vi Vi Vang Kon Tum and U21 Gia Dinh. In the final round of the 2022 National U21 Tournament, after knowing the violation of the regulations, U21 Gia Dinh did not register this player to play.

At the end of the qualifying round, U21 Gia Dinh got 10 points, ranked second in Group C, including a match where U21 Gia Dinh won U21 Dong Nai with a score of 3-1. In this match, player Le Van Truong entered the field in the 60th minute. Before this match, U21 Gia Dinh and U21 Dong Nai both had 7 points.
