The final match of the U21 International Tournament in Ho Chi Minh City was played with low quality. The two teams attacked with a lack of sharpness, the match was broken by continuous fouls. Many times, players from both teams lay on the field in pain, while the number of opportunities that could lead to goals was extremely rare.

During the first half, the match only had one dangerous situation, which came from Kosuke Saito's unexpected handling in the 36th minute. Yokohama's number 10 fired a shot right at the 16m50 line, the ball curved past goalkeeper Songsangchan's control and bounced off the crossbar.

The second half was a dull affair, but with just three minutes left in regulation time, Yokohama opened the scoring. Shiryuito jumped high to head Takehiro Hatori's free kick, which bounced off the ground. Keitaishii quickly swooped in to head the winning goal.

This championship helped Yokohama win $12,000 in prize money. Thailand came in second and received $7,000, while HAGL took third place. The mountain town team also received a style award.

Topping the scoring list were Thailand's Samphaori and Van Toan. The HAGL striker was also awarded the most impressive player award. The best player award went toTakehiro Hattori.
