U21 SLNA officially participates in the national U21 final round

U21 SLNA participated in the national U21 qualifying round this year in group C. This is a group of 6 teams. At the end of the group stage, the Nghe An team had 3 wins and 1 draw, earning 10 points and ranked 3rd in group C.

Specifically, U21 SLNA won the opening match against U21 Ben Tre with a score of 1-0; then U21 SLNA won against U21 Quang Nam with a score of 3-2. In the third match, the Nghe team lost to the defending champion U21 Viettel with a score of 2-0. In the match against U21 Binh Duong, U21 SLNA had a spectacular comeback with a score of 2-1. In the final match against U21 Nutifood, U21 SLNA had a dramatic draw, thereby helping the Nghe team rank 3rd in Group C.

Regarding the detailed rankings in the groups as follows: Group A had 1 team withdraw from the tournament because a player was infected with Covid-19, so the 3rd place team in this group, Thanh Hoa, only had 5 points. Meanwhile, after the match ended this afternoon, U21 PVF Hung Yen won against U21 Dong Thap. With this victory, U21 Dong Thap ranked 4th, only 5 points and had 1 match left to play, so this team no longer has the possibility of ranking 3rd in Group B. As for PVF Hung Yen, although they are the home team, they naturally entered the final round, regardless of their position. Therefore, U21 SLNA has officially become the 3rd place team with the best performance to enter the final round this year.

The 8 teams participating in the final round include: U21 Hanoi, U21 HAGL, U21 Nam Dinh, U21 SHB Da Nang, U21 PVF Hung Yen, U21 Viettel, U21 Nutifood and U21 SLNA. The final round will start from December 19 to December 28, 2021, at PVF Youth Football Training Center (Hung Yen).
