U23 Vietnam received a bonus after defeating U23 Thailand

In the qualifying round of Group K of the 2020 AFC U23 Championship, as host, U23 Vietnam defeated U23 Brunei (6-0), U23 Indonesia (1-0), and U23 Thailand (4-0).

With 3 wins, U23 Vietnam ranked first in the group and won a ticket to the final round of the 2020 AFC U23 Championship held in Thailand early next year.
