U23 Vietnam easily defeated U23 Myanmar on a rainy night in Viet Tri
(Baonghean.vn) - The friendly match between U23 Vietnam and U23 Myanmar is an important match for both teams in preparation for the SEA Games taking place at the end of this year. The home team did not have too much difficulty in dominating the game and winning.
Entering the match, the new coach of U23 Vietnam, Mr. Kim Han Yoon, deployed the lineup with the trio Trong Hung - Hoang Duc - Tien Linh leading the scoring responsibility in the attack. This helped U23 Vietnam create significant pressure in the early stages of the match. In the 14th minute, from a corner kick on the right wing, Trieu Viet Hung cut in quickly, finished through the forest of players on both teams, opening the score of the match.

Having the lead helped U23 Vietnam take the advantage of the spirit and create a series of dangerous opportunities, however throughout the first half, U23 Vietnam's strikers were unable to increase the gap. Notably, Trong Hung's header forced goalkeeper Thitsar Min to struggle to block and Hoang Duc's skillful shot hit the post. Meanwhile, U23 Myanmar had a few weak responses so they could not score an equalizer after the first half ended.

Heavy rain and thunder and lightning caused the second half to be delayed for more than 30 minutes before it could continue. The long break combined with the experimental changes to the squad by coach Kim Han Yoon made it impossible for U23 Vietnam to maintain their dominant position. However, dangerous opportunities were still created by the home players and if it were not for the excellence of goalkeeper Thitsar Min, U23 Myanmar might not have been able to resist until the 75th minute, when Tien Linh defeated the opponent's goalkeeper No. 18 to increase the score to 2-0 after Thanh Thinh's assist.

In the final minutes of extra time, midfielder Trong Huy, after coming on as a substitute, also received a red card after committing a dangerous foul on his opponent.
At the end of the match, U23 Vietnam won in terms of score and playing style, the players who were given the opportunity to play also scored points in the eyes of coach Kim Han Yoon.
