U9 Song Lam Nghe An is in an easy group at the 2024 National U9 Tournament

The National U9 Tournament is considered the youngest tournament in the National Youth Tournament system organized by the Vietnam Football Federation. After 3 times of organization, Song Lam Nghe An has excellently won 2 championships.

This year's tournament took place from August 10 to 26 at Gia Lai Provincial Sports Stadium with the participation of 28 teams including: Phu Tho, Tuyen Quang, Bac Ninh, Hanoi, Hanoi Police, HYS Hanoi, Luxury Ha Long Quang Ninh, Gia Bao Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Viet Hung Thanh Hoa, Song Lam Nghe An, T&T VSH, Quang Tri, SHB Da Nang, Thuan An Binh Duong, AP-SKILL Khanh Hoa, Khuyen Nong Binh Phuoc, Dak Nong, Kon Tum, Ho Chi Minh City, Gocobay Ngoc Hung, Van Tam Dong Nai, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Binh Dinh, Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation, Tho Loc Kon Tum, PSFC Gia Lai and Gia Lai.

After the draw, the Organizing Committee determined 7 groups, each group of 4 teams will compete in a round robin to select the 2 best teams in each group and the 2 third-place teams with the best results to enter the round of 16.

Accordingly, U9 Song Lam Nghe An is in group G with teams PFSC Gia Lai, HYS Hanoi and TA Binh Duong.

This is considered a fairly easy group for coach Le Ky Dai and his team. Because this group only includes teams from community classes, in terms of professionalism and playing level, they are somewhat limited compared to Nghe An players. Therefore, U9 Song Lam Nghe An is predicted to soon win the right to pass the group stage at the 2024 National U9 tournament.

The opening match of U9 Song Lam Nghe An against HYS Hanoi will take place on the afternoon of August 13.
