(Baonghean) - The Nghe An Newspaper, in its February 27, 2014 issue, published in the "Hotline Information" section the opinions of residents in Block 6B, Cua Nam Ward, reflecting on the situation of people littering indiscriminately on Cua Tien Bridge, causing environmental pollution and affecting urban aesthetics.

Regarding this matter, the City People's Committee directed relevant departments and units to investigate and handle the issue, and on April 7, 2013, sent Official Letter No. 1384/UBND-QLĐT to Nghe An Newspaper with the following content:

The People's Committee of Vinh City issued Decision No. 13/2011/QD-UBND dated December 9, 2011, regulating the collection, storage, transportation, and treatment of ordinary solid waste in Vinh City; and Decision No. 10/2012/QD-UBND dated October 4, 2012, amending and supplementing the regulations on the collection, storage, transportation, and treatment of ordinary solid waste in the area.Vinh City. The People's Committee of Vinh City regularlyDirecting relevant departments and units, the People's Committees of wards and communes, and the Nghe An Provincial Urban Environment One-Member Limited Company to strictly implement regulations, while simultaneously promoting and encouraging people to dispose of garbage at the designated times and locations, has led to positive changes in environmental sanitation in the city.

However, some residents still lack awareness and continue to dump waste at inappropriate times and locations, causing environmental pollution and affecting urban aesthetics. The complaints from residents of Block 6B, Cua Nam Ward, mentioned in the "Hotline Information" section of the Nghe An Newspaper dated February 27, 2014, are accurate. The City People's Committee has directed relevant departments and units to inspect and clean up waste at Cua Tien 1 and Cua Tien 2 bridges. The People's Committees of Cua Nam and Vinh Tan Wards have been tasked with regularly disseminating information and encouraging residents to dispose of waste at designated times and locations, while also strengthening inspection and strictly penalizing organizations, families, and individuals who violate the regulations.
