The People's Committee of Vinh City is addressing the issue raised in the report.

(Baonghean)The Nghe An Newspaper, issue 9372, dated April 2, 2012, in the "Hotline Information" section, reported on the indiscriminate dumping of construction waste along the Cua Tien riverside road, causing environmental pollution and affecting the lives and activities of people in the surrounding area.

After inspection and review, the People's Committee of the city sent Official Letter No. 1333/UBND-TNMT to Nghe An Newspaper with the following content:

1. The report by Nghe An Newspaper regarding the indiscriminate dumping of construction waste along the Cua Tien riverside road, causing environmental pollution and affecting the lives and activities of people in the surrounding area, is accurate. The City People's Committee has also received this information through citizen complaints and petitions at voter outreach meetings and City People's Council sessions. The City People's Committee has issued documents directing the resolution of this issue; however, the results to date have not met expectations.

2. In order to thoroughly address the issues raised by Nghe An Newspaper, citizens, and voters, the City People's Committee assigns the following to seriously and effectively implement the directives of the City People's Committee in the following documents: Official Letter No. 3632/UBND-TNMT dated October 4, 2012; Official Letter No. 854/UBND-TNMT dated March 11, 2013; and Official Letter No. 1170/UBND-QLĐT dated March 29, 2013.

The results of the implementation should be reported to the City People's Committee before April 30, 2013, for monitoring and supervision.

The People's Committees of wards and communes, the Urban Inspectorate, and the Nghe An Provincial Urban Environment Company Limited are requested to seriously implement this.
