(Baonghean) - Implementing the directive of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee in Document No. 3223-CV/TU dated July 4, 2014, regarding the handling of the article in the Nghe An newspaper dated June 27, 2014, "Hidden dangers of suspension bridgesReflection:

Nghe An province currently has 52 suspension bridges, of which 43 are in operation and 9 are under construction. However, many suspension bridges in the province (Chau Hoi suspension bridge, Quy Hop district; Xop Mat suspension bridge, Tuong Duong district, etc.) are showing signs of serious deterioration, posing risks to people and vehicles using them. Meanwhile, maintenance of these suspension bridges has not been carried out according to regulations due to a lack of funding.

After reviewing the issue raised in the report, on July 9, 2014, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued Official Letter No. 4797/UBND-GT assigning the following tasks:

The Department of Transportation, in coordination with the relevant districts, will investigate and verify the incident. If the report is accurate, they will advise on a course of action.

The report on the inspection and handling results should be submitted to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Department of Information and Communications before July 27, 2014.
