The Provincial People's Committee held a meeting with METROSRTAV Group (Czech Republic).
(Baonghean.vn) – On the afternoon of May 9th, the Provincial People's Committee held a working session with METROSRTAV Group (Czech Republic) regarding the construction of the Provincial Oncology Hospital. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duong, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired the meeting.
Attending the meeting, on behalf of METROSRTAV Group was Mr. Stanislav Kotrack – Head Representative in Vietnam; on behalf of Nghe An province were representatives from the Provincial People's Committee Office, the Departments of Planning and Investment, Construction, Health, Finance, the Provincial Oncology Hospital, and the Provincial Investment Promotion and Development Consulting Center.

During the meeting, representatives from the provincial leadership and the Nghe An Oncology Hospital informed representatives from the METROSRTAV Group about general information regarding the Nghe An Oncology Hospital, particularly the difficulties encountered in its construction.
Accordingly, the hospital was established by Decision 3826/QD-UBND dated August 27, 2010, of the People's Committee of Nghe An province and officially began operations on August 8, 2011. As a specialized hospital for the North Central region, its mission is to examine, detect, screen, treat, and manage cancer patients in Nghe An province and the North Central region. However, the hospital is currently operating with temporary and cramped facilities. The large and ever-increasing number of patients means the hospital is constantly overloaded and unable to meet the healthcare needs of the people.
Meanwhile, the Nghe An Oncology Hospital construction project, with a capacity of 500 beds in Nghi Kim and Nghi Lien communes, covering an area of 14 hectares and a total investment of over 1,000 billion VND, is currently in the planning, compensation, support, and land clearance stages. However, due to the economic downturn and lack of funding, the implementation progress is very slow. Nghe An province hopes to receive assistance from METROSRTAV Group in finding funding and loans to build the hospital.
During a meeting with the leaders of Nghe An province, Mr. Stanislav Kotrack stated that METROSRTAV Group is one of the largest corporations in the Czech Republic in the fields of healthcare and construction; it has built many large hospital projects around the world as well as in Vietnam.
Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong presents a gift to Mr. Stanislav Kotrack – representative of METROSRTAV Group.
During this first working session, the two sides had preliminary discussions regarding borrowing funds from Czech banks to build the Nghe An Oncology Hospital. On behalf of the provincial leadership, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duong thanked Mr. Stanislav Kotrck and his colleagues for their goodwill and invited Mr. Kotrck to visit the current Oncology Hospital and discuss the loan, interest rates, and binding conditions in more detail. After reaching a common understanding, the province and the Group will sign a memorandum of understanding and proceed with the next steps.
