(Baonghean.vn) - After the restaurant fires and explosions in Vinh city and the apartment fires in Ho Chi Minh city, the People's Committee of Nghe An province has issued documents requesting to strengthen inspection and rectify fire prevention and fighting work in the province.

Official dispatch No. 1743/UBND-NC dated March 23 signed by Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Xuan Dai with the content of Directing the handling of the fire and explosion at Phu An Trading Joint Stock Company, at No. 5, Tran Phu Street, Le Mao Ward, Vinh City.
The Provincial People's Committee requested the Provincial Police to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to investigate and clarify the cause of the above fire and explosion and strictly handle it in accordance with the provisions of law; information and communication agencies to strengthen the dissemination of laws on fire prevention and fighting, especially in the business, management, operation and use of liquefied gas and petroleum; develop reports reflecting the above activities, warning of risks and reflecting the responsibilities of organizations and individuals for business activities, management, operation and use of liquefied gas and petroleum.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Vinh City People's Committee to direct functional units to step up propaganda work, strengthen State management of business management, operation, use of liquefied gas, petroleum, and conditional business in the area, and strictly handle violations according to the law.
In particular, the Provincial People's Committee requested the Provincial Fire Police to continue to coordinate with the Provincial Police to clarify the cause of the incident; organize a general inspection and discipline units and households to comply with regulations on fire prevention and fighting in business and commerce (focusing on business, management, operation and use of liquefied petroleum gas and oil); resolutely and strictly handle units and households that deliberately violate. Coordinate with news agencies and newspapers to do a good job of propaganda.

On the same day, March 23, the Provincial People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 1729/UBND-NC to the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police, Provincial Police, Department of Construction, Vinh City People's Committee and districts and towns, requesting the Provincial Fire Prevention and Fighting Police to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to organize inspections of fire prevention and fighting work at apartment buildings in Vinh city and districts and towns.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested relevant organizations and individuals to strictly implement measures to ensure fire prevention and fighting; Correct and strictly handle violations and non-implementation cases. Complete the inspection and report to the Provincial People's Committee the implementation results in April 2018.
