Provincial People's Committee assigns tasks to answer voters' questions

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 10, under the chairmanship of comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to assign tasks and agree on some contents to serve the 15th session of the Provincial People's Council, term XVI, 2011 - 2016.

Also attending the meeting were representatives of the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee; Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee; Huynh Thanh Dien, Dinh Viet Hong, Le Ngoc Hoa; representatives of provincial departments, branches and sectors.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting.

In preparation for the 15th session, the Provincial People's Committee has prepared 14 reports and 13 draft resolutions. Up to now, the reports and draft resolutions have been reviewed by the Standing Committee and Committees of the Provincial People's Council, with the participation of leaders of the Provincial People's Committee to promptly absorb and edit.

Also at this session, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council will question issues related to food safety and hygiene; environmental pollution and the implementation of resettlement projects in landslide areas.

Deputy Chief of Office of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Hong Duong reported on the progress of preparing contents for the 15th session of the 16th Provincial People's Council.

Comrade Vo Duy Viet - Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment said that there needs to be coordination between relevant departments and branches to best prepare the content of questions about environmental pollution.

The issues of food safety and environmental hygiene, although mentioned many times, have not been effectively resolved. In addition to the three key questions, at this session, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council also requested the Provincial People's Committee to direct departments and branches to report on the implementation of the questions and the promises made at the meetings since the beginning of the term.

The general assessment of the preparation of the Provincial People's Committee and departments and branches is quite timely and in line with the requirements of the Provincial People's Council. This is a condition to ensure that the 15th session of the 16th Provincial People's Council's questioning session achieves high results.

Comrade Bui Dinh Long - Director of the Department of Health raised a number of issues related to the questioning content in the field of management.

Comrade Nguyen Van Lap - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development was assigned to answer questions about the content related to resettlement projects in landslide areas.

After listening to the discussion opinions of the departments and branches, concluding at the meeting, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the departments and branches to unify the time frame for closing the data, avoiding the situation where each branch takes a different time frame, leading to data and information on socio-economics, national defense and security in the province being overlapping and inconsistent.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested departments and branches to send cadres and experts to attend all groups in the discussion session to fully absorb the reflections of the Provincial People's Council delegates, and to explain and provide information to the Provincial People's Council delegates on issues of concern.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong assigned specific responsibilities to the sectors to prepare the content to answer questions from voters and People's Council delegates at the upcoming 15th session.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned 3 sectors: Health, Natural Resources and Environment, Agriculture and Rural Development to directly answer questions. In addition, relevant sectors must also proactively prepare all contents under their management functions to answer the Provincial People's Council, because this session is an "open" questioning session, delegates can question issues in many sectors, avoiding subjectivity and confusion.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong also noted that the sectors need to promptly absorb and edit the contents of the draft reports and resolutions and related contents discussed and decided at the meeting, contributing to ensuring that the meeting completes the proposed programs and contents.
