The Provincial People's Committee awarded 300 million VND to the U9 Song Lam Nghe An football team.

At the 2021 National U9 Football Tournament (held in early 2022), Song Lam Nghe An won the championship. Entering this second season, 16 teams were divided into 4 groups, competing in a round robin, calculating points and selecting the 2 teams with the best results in each group to compete in the quarter-finals.

U9 Song Lam Nghe An was in the same group with Luxury Ha Long, Dak Lak and Hai Phong. The Nghe An young players easily passed the group stage with first place. In the quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals, coach Le Ky Dai and his team won with scores of 12-1, 5-1 and 5-0 respectively.

That result helped U9 Song Lam Nghe An convincingly win the National U9 Football Championship for the second time.

Statistics from the beginning of the tournament, U9 Song Lam Nghe An won all matches, scored a total of 46 goals and only conceded 3 goals.

In addition to the Gold Cup, U9 Song Lam Nghe An also won individual titles: Top scorer: Vo Duc Anh (11 goals); Best goalkeeper: Nguyen Thanh Dat; Best player: Cao Huy Hoang.

At the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports congratulated the excellent achievements of the coaching staff and the young players of U9 Song Lam Nghe An.

He emphasized: Although the players are at the youngest age of the Song Lam Nghe An Youth Football Training Center, they have early awareness of hard training in sports, strong passion for the round ball, always learning, and showing the will to improve.

In addition to winning the championship, the individual awards are also an honor and pride not only for the players, but also for the province. The leaders of the Department of Culture and Sports hope that in the coming time, the U9 Song Lam Nghe An team will continue to train to achieve even more success.

To achieve this outstanding achievement, Nghe An Sports Department cooperated with Song Lam Nghe An Youth Football Training Center to build a strategy to develop football satellites throughout the province. The selection, training and living of players were all implemented systematically and scientifically, contributing to the success of today.

The Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports also affirmed: In the coming time, the Department of Culture and Sports will continue to accompany Song Lam Nghe An Club to create all conditions for youth football in the province to develop further, worthy of the tradition that has been built for many generations.
