Satellite images appear to show a "flying saucer" spacecraft parked on a runway next to NASA's JPL laboratory, near Los Angeles.
The YouTube account "Name Shame" first noticed the strange thing and has just uploaded these photos to his YouTube channel. He commented: "NASA playing a game? ... UFO caught? What is it?".
Google satellite photos reveal that the "flying saucer" has shifted position since 2014. Specifically, in the photo taken 3 years ago, the object was located on the grass near the JPL runway, but has now moved to lie on the runway.

JPL was the site of the first American satellite to orbit the Earth. Explorer 1 was launched in 1958.
JPL currently serves as the headquarters for space exploration missions, studying asteroids and distant planets. However, conspiracy theorists believe it is also a secret storage place for alien technology, which humans have captured from UFOs that have crashed on Earth.
Still, some are skeptical about the object. "I doubt it's a captured UFO," said Nigel Watson, author of The UFO Investigation Handbook. "It's more likely to be a structure or vehicle that has a flying saucer shape. Secondly, why would they leave it out in the open, where it's easy to spot on apps like Google Earth? Seeing unusual things on Google seems to be the latest craze to rival UFO hunting in live broadcasts from the International Space Station."
