Ukraine has sharply increased its import of Russian goods over the past year.
According to the State Statistics Committee, imports of Russian goods into Ukraine from January to April 2018 increased by 31% compared to the same period last year, as the Strana.ua portal reported.

Total imports from Russia in the first quarter reached $256.3 million.
At the same time, Ukrainian goods exports to Russia compared to the previous year decreased by 6.4% - to 1.187 billion USD.
The trade deficit with Moscow amounted to $1.377 billion, twice as low as in the same period last year.
