Ukraine assesses the possibility of war with Russia
The probability of war between Russia and Ukraine is very small, former Ukrainian foreign service officer Lieutenant General Vasily Bogdan said in an interview.

According to Mr. Bogdan, war between the two countries will not happen before the presidential election in Ukraine. He believes that the Kremlin hopes to change the political vector in Kiev. However, Mr. Bogdan noted that even after the election, regardless of the result, there will not be a full-scale war.
The general also expressed the view that war could only happen in the event of a Russian military attack. However, according to Mr. Bogdan, Kiev faces a danger from Belarus, which "the Kremlin is trying to occupy."
"We are preparing to repel the attack. At the same time, we understand that the danger may not come only from Russia," he noted.
In addition, General Vasily Bogdan said that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is considering the possibility of conducting a military operation to return Donbass under Kiev's control. However, Mr. Bogdan refused to say exactly in what cases Ukraine would use the "military scenario".
