Earlier, the branch of JSC Ukrainian Railways signed an agreement with the branch of Russian Railways to purchase 96 Honorary Railway Employee badges for 181.9 thousand hryvnia (about $6,800).
However, the acting director of the company, Yevgeny Kravtsov, ordered to stop this procurement procedure.
“I think this is not only a moral responsibility but also a criminal responsibility,” Mr. Turchinov said of those who “buy in Russia things that can be produced in Ukraine.”In recent years, Kiev has pursued a policy of replacing Russian-made products. Previously, the Federal Customs Service said that the foreign trade turnover between Russia and Ukraine in the period from January to May 2018 reached $5.838 billion, up 28.7% over the same period.
