“We have no reason to believe that European countries will doubt the need to extend the sanctions. Therefore, I think we can count on the fact that the sanctions will be fully extended within the next six months,” Ivanna Klimpush Tsintsadze, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, said at a briefing.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, Ukraine will also raise the issue of imposing additional sanctions against Russia for the decision to simplify the issuance of passports to Donbass residents.
Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin said that if some European countries achieve “lifting of sanctions pressure” on Russia in the European Council, Ukraine will announce the termination of the Minsk agreements.
