(Baonghean.vn) - On May 14, candidates for the 14th National Assembly in constituency No. 1 and the 17th Provincial People's Council in constituency No. 17 had a meeting with voters of Chieu Luu commune, Ky Son district.

Candidates for the 14th National Assembly elected in Ky Son include: Mr. Le Quang Huy - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Huu Cau - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Provincial Police; Nguyen Van Kim - Deputy Director of the Department of Measurement and Quality of Nghe An province; Nguyen Thi Thanh Xuan - Head of the Department of Inspection and Enforcement of Criminal Judgments, People's Court of Nghe An province.

Candidates for the People's Council include: Vi Hoe, member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee - Secretary of the Ky Son District Party Committee, Vi Thai Thuan - Deputy Secretary of the Ky Son District Youth Union, Lau Ba Chay - Party Secretary - Chairman of the People's Council of Nam Can Commune - Ky Son, Vi Thi Huong, accountant of the Ky Son District BDCT Center.

At the meetings, representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ky Son district briefly introduced the candidates' biographies and work history. Then, the candidates took turns presenting their action programs, demonstrating their dedication and responsibility as National Assembly and Provincial People's Council deputies to voters.

Voters in Chieu Luu commune reported the situation of buying and selling women, children, and drug addicts, which affects people's lives; the illegal exploitation of forest products, minerals, and fishing with electric shocks, leading to depletion of forest resources and environmental pollution; the situation of electricity passing through the village but people are not allowed to use it; the issue of land disputes between villages in the commune, etc.

At the same time, voters also want to pay attention to training and employment for children in Ky Son district; policies for the elderly; building schools and vocational schools; speeding up the progress of the Small Industrial Park project in Chieu Luu commune; Primary schools in Hong Tien, Luu Thang, Tat Thoong, Xieng Thu villages have seriously degraded and need to be rebuilt so that the schools meet national standards; requesting funding to concretize the road to Khe Thoong; solving on-site jobs for people in mountainous areas; domestic water issues in Hong Tien village...

On behalf of the candidates, Colonel Nguyen Huu Cau, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Provincial Police - candidate for the National Assembly and the Provincial People's Council, answered frankly and sincerely the voters' recommendations. The Colonel was also very concerned and troubled by the increasingly complicated situation of buying and selling women and children in the locality, so people should be vigilant to avoid being taken advantage of by bad guys to sell their children. At the same time, he will direct the police force to fight fiercely against this type of crime as well as drug crimes.

The Colonel also pointed out some difficulties in drug rehabilitation and drug addict management. Regarding issues related to infrastructure construction and policies for the people, the Provincial Police Director promised to submit them to competent authorities for resolution. At the same time, he hoped that the Party Committee, government and people would unite to build Chieu Luu commune to soon meet new rural standards.
