The General Department of Vocational Education (Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs) has just launched a career-school selection application to help students choose their favorite major.

The application provides quite complete information about more than 850 different occupations (including 821 intermediate-level occupations, 558 college-level occupations), descriptions of studies, jobs to do after graduation, salaries, recruitment needs, etc.

In addition, users can also apply online instead of having to go there in person, saving time and effort, especially useful for those who live far away.

The career-school selection application was launched right at the time when candidates have just entered the high school graduation exam. This is a tool to help young people orient and choose a career that suits their abilities and conditions.

First, download and install the Career Selection application at http://bit.ly/2K8C915 (Android) or https://apple.co/2K3jtj8 (iOS). The program's interface is quite simple with main sections including Career Selection, School Selection and Information.

To find information about your favorite or interested profession, you just need to enter keywords in the search box. For example, when searching for Information Technology, you will know the sub-sectors inside such as programming, database administration, website design, network administration... along with the description of each job, tuition fees, main tasks of the profession, salary, recruitment opportunities, job positions and similar jobs.

Switch to the Training section right next to it, users can refer to information about the curriculum, output standards, who is suitable for the profession, training costs, list of training facilities and information about the profession's prospects: Job opportunities after graduation, career development opportunities, opportunities to improve qualifications/change careers, average monthly income after graduation...

In addition, the application also stores the list and addresses of more than 900 vocational education institutions, including 380 colleges, 503 secondary schools, and 19 other vocational education institutions.

Similar to choosing a career, you just need to enter the name of the school in the search box. The information returned will include tuition fees, job opportunities, number of students enrolled in recent years, etc.

If you have chosen your favorite career, you just need to go to the Registration section to submit your application online without having to go there in person.

In general, the Career Selection application will help students, candidates, parents, and workers have an additional comprehensive information channel, thereby finding their favorite career and suitable school. In particular, educational institutions also save a lot of time in recruitment and career guidance.
