The Traffic Police Department (CSGT), Ministry of Public Security is coordinating with relevant units to develop an application for citizens - VNeTraffic, to provide maximum support to people in participating in traffic and carrying out procedures related to vehicles.
One of the new highlights is that VNeTraffic has been connected to the VNeID National Identification Application. Individuals who have upgraded to level 2 identification on VNeID will automatically be authenticated to level 2 when logging into VNeTraffic, making the use of services more convenient and faster.
This application develops many practical utilities, notably the "Traffic Document QR Wallet", allowing citizens to replace carrying paper copies with official electronic data, including:
- Driver's license: displays all information and accompanying scores.
- Vehicle registration: lists all vehicles owned by an individual through identification codes.
- Certificate of technical safety and environmental protection inspection (for vehicles subject to inspection).
- Compulsory civil liability insurance of vehicles: currently the Traffic Police Department is coordinating with units to complete the connection as soon as possible.
In addition, VNeTraffic allows vehicle owners to track vehicle activity history, including traffic accidents or traffic violations, personalized for each specific vehicle.
In the coming time, the application will continue to develop smart traffic maps, capable of optimizing routes according to many criteria such as travel time, vehicle density, distance... to help citizens choose the most suitable route.
The main functions of the VNeTraffic application currently include:
Home page; reflects traffic violations, accidents, congestion and situations related to security and order on traffic routes; notifies the progress of handling violations (issuing notices, making records, making decisions); looks up vehicle license plate auctions; looks up fines; updates traffic news; document wallet; notifies results of new issuance, exchange, re-issuance of driver's licenses and vehicle registration; digital maps integrating data layers (traffic police agencies, toll stations, inspection centers, rescue stations, police agencies, etc.); warns of traffic situations (congestion, accidents).
