Improper behavior, many officials were disciplined
Many officials and civil servants at units in Hanoi were disciplined for administrative violations.
Hanoi City has just issued a report explaining the implementation of the Code of Conduct for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers in agencies under Hanoi City; Code of Conduct in public places.
The report signed by Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung said that in one year of implementing the code of conduct, officials, civil servants and employees in agencies under the city always strictly complied with state regulations and had the right attitude towards people when handling administrative procedures.

However, the report also mentioned a series of cases where officials, civil servants and public employees have not strictly followed discipline in performing public duties.
Hanoi City cited specific examples of incidents such as making death certificates in Van Mieu ward or the case of the Vice Chairman of Thanh Xuan District People's Committee having lunch on Nguyen Quy Duc street and said that this is a lesson that officials and civil servants need to learn from in communicating and behaving with citizens.
In Nam Tu Liem district, the District People's Committee also demoted the Principal of Phu Do Secondary School for failing to fulfill his management and operation duties, leading to serious consequences, and violating principles in civil servant management, financial management, and public assets.
The district also warned a teacher at Me Tri Primary School for not complying with professional skills, professional ethics and codes of conduct when performing teaching activities.
In Ba Vi district, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Vat Lai commune was warned for not seriously implementing the direction of the City People's Committee and the inspection conclusion. The district also criticized the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Vi commune, Duong Trung Lien, for violating administrative discipline and inviting him to attend a relative's wedding during working hours.
Also according to the report, the People's Committee of Quoc Oai district disciplined 14 cases of population policy violations by giving birth to a third child.
Tay Ho District People's Committee disciplined 3 civil servants by reprimand; criticized 1 department head, 2 deputy department heads, 3 ward People's Committee chairmen, and 2 civil servants.
Long Bien District People's Committee reviewed the responsibilities of 8 officials and civil servants, including disciplining 2 ward officials by reprimand. Hai Ba Trung District People's Committee disciplined 1 official by forcing him to resign.
Some of the reasons pointed out by Hanoi City are that officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers have not changed their old habits and working methods.
