Sharing his feelings after receiving his high school graduation exam results, Hieu said: “I feel very happy because my efforts have been as expected. The actual score is even higher than the score I predicted after taking the test.”

In recent days, the house of the new valedictorian in Gia Hoi hamlet, Thanh Tien commune (Thanh Chuong) has always been "as happy as Tet" because many brothers, friends, and relatives have come to congratulate Hieu on his academic achievements.
Mr. Nguyen Le Bang (63 years old) - Hieu's uncle could not hide his pride: "The recent exam results are very commensurate with his efforts and training. Although these are only initial results, what Hieu has achieved has brought glory to the family's and clan's tradition of studiousness. We are really excited."
It is known that Hieu is the youngest in a family of 2 brothers, his father is a teacher at Thanh Chuong 1 High School, his mother is a teacher at Thanh Lien Primary School, his older brother is a 2nd year student at Vinh Medical University. Secret to good study
With 29 points for admission to block A1 (Math: 9, Physics: 10, English: 10), Nguyen Canh Phuoc - a 12A student at Thanh Chuong 1 High School, achieved the top score in block A1 in the province, in the top 21 candidates with the highest scores in block A1 nationwide.
As the youngest of three children in Hong Phong hamlet, Dai Dong commune, his father is a retired soldier, his mother is a primary school teacher, and his two older sisters have graduated from universities in Ho Chi Minh City, Phuoc has always been taken care of by his family to study well.
During 12 years of high school, Phuoc continuously achieved excellent results. During his primary and secondary school years, Phuoc was repeatedly awarded the title of excellent student of the district in Math and English. Phuoc won the Encouragement Prize for excellent students of the province in English (grades 5 and 9); Third Prize for excellent students of the province in English (grade 12)...
In the recent National High School Exam, Phuoc excellently achieved 2 scores of 10 in Physics and English. The score of 9 in Math left him with some regret: “I felt a little regretful when I did the Math test, on the way home from the exam, I realized I did it wrong. Honestly, I am not satisfied with the score I achieved.”
Talking about his learning method, Phuoc shared: My learning experience is to master the basic knowledge in textbooks, grasp the essence rather than the specifics to solve many related exercises. When encountering difficult problems, I often ask the teacher, ask friends with outstanding learning ability. I consider the internet an effective learning channel, so I often go online to learn and find solutions to new problems.

Private subjectEnglishI often watch movies and listen to foreign music to practice listening and speaking. Because of my passion for English, I like to speak English anytime, anywhere, even when doing housework.
“To achieve the results I have today, I feel lucky to have received the attention and help of the school's Board of Directors, teachers, and friends... Especially, with a score of 10 in Physics, I silently thank Mr. Nguyen Cong Luong. He not only taught me knowledge, but also put his trust in me to strive.
Not only is he studious, Phuoc is also a passionate sports student, playing many sports such as soccer, volleyball, badminton, and table tennis. During the days preparing for the national high school graduation exam, Phuoc still practiced sports regularly, staying up many nights to watch soccer on TV. Phuoc once won second prize in the Phu Dong Sports Festival at the district level in table tennis.

Like the valedictorian of the same school, Nguyen Xuan Hieu, Phuoc's admission wish is the Faculty of Information Technology, Hanoi University of Science and Technology. Hieu honestly said: "I dream of becoming an information technology engineer, so I want to study at this school, but my family has no direction."
Talking about his son's academic achievements, Mr. Nguyen Canh Tuong - Phuoc's father said: "My family always pays attention, favors and encourages him to study. After 12 years of studying, the family is also very honored and proud of the academic results he has achieved. This is the first success, a source of motivation for him to try harder in the upcoming journey."
School pride
Although Hieu and Phuoc are in different classes, they have many things in common. First of all, their families have a strong educational background and both care about their studies. Both of them were excellent students at Ton Quang Phiet Secondary School - a key school in Thanh Chuong district. Recalling their time in secondary school, Phuoc shared: "My unforgettable memory with Hieu was one afternoon when we didn't go home because it was sunny and the road was far. We stayed at school, didn't take a nap, but climbed the fence together to pick mangoes."
In high school, both were in the school's excellent student team and won prizes in the provincial excellent student competition for grade 12. During their studies, the two always considered each other as "students with outstanding academic ability" to learn from and support each other. Phuoc admitted: "When encountering difficult exercises, I still discuss with Hieu to find the best way to solve them."
In the 2021 National High School Graduation Exam, both Hieu and Phuoc achieved the highest scores at the provincial level, and both wished to enter the same university. The pair of valedictorians, who both dream of becoming IT engineers, surprised many people.
The provincial valedictorian achievements of Nguyen Xuan Hieu and Nguyen Canh Phuoc are not only the result of their own efforts, the honor of their family, clan, and hometown, but also contribute to further enhancing the glorious teaching tradition of Thanh Chuong 1 High School.

Sharing about the students' achievements, Mr. Nguyen Duc Lam - Vice Principal of Thanh Chuong 1 High School excitedly said: In the recent high school graduation exam, the school had 63 students with scores of 27 or higher, 17 students with scores of 28 or higher. Notably, there were 2 students with scores of 29 or higher, achieving the top score in the province in groups A and A1.
As a district school with low entrance scores compared to schools with the same socio-economic conditions, but the output is always at the top of the province, the school is very honored and proud of the achievements of the students.
These results are thanks to the efforts and determination of both teachers and students. These are the most practical achievements towards the 60th anniversary of the school's founding (1961 - 2021).
