At the conclusion of the meeting, the Committee instructed the Secretary-General of the Arab League and the Prime Minister of Qatar to convey the Arab countries' position on the situation in Syria to the five permanent members of the UN Security Council and the joint UN-Arab League Special Envoy Lakhdar Brahimi. However, the closing statement did not mention the recommendations or detailed positions that the Arab countries were expected to present at this conference.

According to several diplomatic sources, at the meeting, the Committee agreed on a framework agreement on the presence of peacekeeping forces in Syria to ensure stability during the transition period.

This force is expected to be deployed to areas experiencing intense fighting, with a mission mandated by the United Nations Security Council, aimed at maintaining peace, security, and ensuring the safety of Syrian civilians.
