The Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee wishes a Happy New Year to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee

(Baonghean.vn) – On the afternoon of January 23, a working delegation of the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee of Nghe An province, led by Father Nguyen Dang Dien – Chairman of the Committee, visited and extended New Year greetings to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee.

Receiving the delegation, on the side of Nghe An province was comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly delegation of the province.

Also attending were comrades: Nguyen Van Huy - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province; Luu Cong Vinh - Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs, Head of the Provincial Religious Committee; representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Office.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2017, Father Nguyen Dang Dien wished a happy new year to the Party Committee, government and people of Nghe An province, wishing them many initiatives in the new year to realize the goal of a rich people, a strong country, democracy, equality and civilization. This is also a goal similar to the Gospel of Catholicism.

Priest Nguyen Dang Dien also expressed his joy at the development of his province in the past year; at the same time sincerely thanked the province for its attention and help to Catholics in recent times.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh thanked the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee of Nghe An province for visiting and wishing the province a Happy New Year; at the same time, he informed about some highlights of the province's socio-economic situation in 2016, especially the work of taking care of the poor on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2017.

Comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh emphasized that the Party and State always respect and ensure freedom of belief and religion, create favorable conditions for religions to operate within the framework of the law; and maximize consensus and solidarity in the process of construction and development.

The Provincial Party Secretary wished Father Nguyen Dang Dien and the delegation good health in the new year, with many good news in all fields; continued to promote prestige, the role of a bridge, building national solidarity; at the same time, support and contribute ideas for the provincial Party Committee and government to do well their duties with the people of Nghe An, including Catholics, to build Nghe An province to develop more strongly, and for the people to have an increasingly prosperous and happy life.
