The Central Inspection Commission proposed that the Politburo and the Secretariat consider the responsibility and discipline Politburo member, Head of the Central Economic Commission Tran Tuan Anh, former Minister of Industry and Trade.

On January 10, 11 and 19, in Hanoi, the Central Inspection Commission held its 35th meeting. Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, and Head of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Cam Tu chaired the meeting.
At this Session, the Central Inspection Commission reviewed and concluded the following contents:
Implement the conclusion of the Central Inspection Commission at the 34th Session regarding the Party Executive Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and a number of related Party organizations and Party members; based on Party regulations,
The Central Inspection Commission decided to take disciplinary action:
- Expelled from the Party: Dang Cong Khoi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Director of the Price Management Department, Ministry of Finance; Nguyen Danh Son, Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the Electricity Trading Company; Nguyen Huu Khai, Secretary of the Party Cell, Head of the Electricity Purchasing Business Department, Electricity Trading Company, Vietnam Electricity Group; Tran Quoc Hung, Deputy Head of the Licensing and Public Relations Department, Electricity Regulatory Authority, Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Remove from all positions in the Party Mr. Do Duc Quan, former Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Director of the Department of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The Politburo and the Secretariat reviewed the responsibilities and disciplined the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade for the 2016-2021 and 2021-2026 terms and: Politburo member, Head of the Central Economic Commission Tran Tuan Anh, former Secretary of the Party Committee, Minister of Industry and Trade; Trinh Dinh Dung, former member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Party Committee, Deputy Prime Minister; Mai Tien Dung, former member of the Party Central Committee, Minister, Chairman of the Government Office; Do Thang Hai, member of the Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade; Hoang Quoc Vuong, former member of the Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, former Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Members of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group.
Considering the results of the inspection of the implementation of inspection, supervision and party discipline tasks for the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee; and the inspection of asset and income declarations for the Standing Committee members of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, the Central Inspection Committee found that:
In addition to the basic advantages, the inspected party organizations and party members also had some violations and shortcomings in leadership, direction, organization of inspection, supervision, and enforcement of party discipline, in management and use of party finance and assets, in declaration of assets and income, and in implementation of the Central Inspection Commission's conclusion notice.
The Central Inspection Commission requires party organizations and party members to be seriously reviewed, learn from experience, promptly overcome violations and shortcomings that have been pointed out; promote advantages, strengthen leadership and direction of party committees, party organizations, and inspection commissions at all levels to focus on inspecting signs of degradation in political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, implementing regulations on what party members are not allowed to do, responsibility to set an example; personnel work; declaration of assets and income; management and use of land, resources, and minerals; implementation of investment projects and other outstanding, pressing issues of public concern, and reporting results to the Central Inspection Commission.
Also at this session, the Central Inspection Commission discussed to submit to the Politburo for consideration and promulgation of Regulations on protecting whistleblowers, fighting corruption and negativity, and at the same time decided on a number of other important contents./.
