Central Party Inspection Commission: Must discipline Mr. Nguyen Phong Quang

The Party Central Inspection Commission concluded that Mr. Nguyen Phong Quang - former Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Southwest Steering Committee - had committed very serious violations, to the point of requiring disciplinary action.

On the afternoon of August 22, the Party Central Inspection Committee deployed a plan to review a number of officials who had committed violations at the Southwest Steering Committee related to lax management and lack of responsibility leading to serious violations of state finance and assets and the appointment of officials not in accordance with procedures.

According to information from an officer attending the meeting, it is expected that from now until September 15, each Party cell under the Party Committee of the Southwest Steering Committee will review the responsibility of each individual for violations, propose disciplinary measures, and report to the Committee for consideration by the Central Party Inspection Committee.

According to the conclusion of the Central Inspection Committee, during the period 2011-2016, Mr. Nguyen Phong Quang, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee and Mr. Nguyen Quoc Viet, Party Secretary, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee of the Standing Committee of the Southwest Steering Committee violated the Working Regulations and the principle of democratic centralism in giving policies and decisions on organizational and personnel work.

Mr. Nguyen Phong Quang himself committed such serious violations that he had to be disciplined, he loosened his leadership and management, allowing the office and financial and accounting departments of the agency to violate regulations on financial management, leaving more than 100 billion VND of fundraising funds out of the accounting books./.
