The Central Inspection Commission disciplined the Party Executive Committee of Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee and the Police Colonel.

From January 14 to 16, 2019, in Hanoi, the Central Inspection Commission held its 33rd meeting. Comrade Tran Cam Tu - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission chaired the meeting.

At this meeting, the Central Inspection Commission (CIC) reviewed and concluded the following contents:

1- Review and discipline the Party Executive Committee of Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee and related individuals for violations and shortcomings concluded at the 32nd session of the Central Inspection Commission.

Considering the content, nature, level, and consequences of the violation; based on the Party's regulations on disciplinary action against violating Party organizations and Party members, the Central Inspection Commission decided to impose disciplinary action in the form of reprimand on comrade Nguyen Bon - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee; and warning on comrade Truong Thanh Tung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Member of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee.

The Central Inspection Commission requested the Standing Committee of Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee to consider and discipline the Party Committee of Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee for the 2016-2021 term according to its authority.

2- Consider and discipline Colonel Do Minh Tan

During his tenure as a member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Chief of the Dong Xuan District Police, Phu Yen Province, Comrade Do Minh Tan took advantage of his position and authority to influence and assist in the creation of fake documents to apply for land use right certificates, violating the laws on land, forest protection and development, leading to large-scale deforestation, many related cadres and party members being disciplined and criminally prosecuted; covering up and instructing subjects to deal with the investigation agency, causing difficulties for the investigation.

Comrade Do Minh Tan's violation is very serious, showing signs of personal gain, negatively affecting the reputation of the Party organization and the Public Security sector. However, the consideration and decision to discipline Comrade Do Minh Tan by the Party organizations in Phu Yen province is not commensurate with the nature, extent and consequences of the violation.

Pursuant to the Party's regulations on disciplinary action against violating Party members, in order to strictly maintain Party discipline, the Central Inspection Commission decided to take disciplinary action by expelling comrade Do Minh Tan from the Party.

3- Consider and discipline comrade Ho Van The - Provincial Party Committee member, Deputy Head of the Mass Mobilization Committee of Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee

According to the Central Inspection Commission, during his tenure as a member of the Provincial People's Committee and Head of the Ethnic Minorities Committee of Quang Ngai Province, comrade Ho Van The violated the principle of democratic centralism, did not comply with the direction of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Provincial People's Committee in reviewing and handling violations of civil servants; violated State regulations in implementing investment projects to build settlement areas, affecting the progress and effectiveness of the projects.

Comrade Ho Van The's violations are serious, negatively affecting the reputation of the Party organization and his agency. However, the consideration and decision to discipline comrade Ho Van The by the Party organizations in Quang Ngai province is not commensurate with the nature, extent and consequences of the violations.

Pursuant to the Party's regulations on disciplinary action against violating Party members, in order to strictly maintain Party discipline, the Central Inspection Commission decided to impose disciplinary action in the form of a warning on comrade Ho Van The./.
