The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee presented support money to a 100-year-old VNAH mother.

(Baonghean.vn) - Towards the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2017, on the morning of June 9, the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province coordinated with the Fatherland Front of Quy Hop district and Nghia Xuan commune to present 6 million VND in support money for the first 6 months of the year and 1 million VND in gifts on July 27 to 100-year-old Vietnamese heroic mother Truong Thi Thiep, in Coc Chat hamlet, Nghia Xuan commune.

Heroic Vietnamese Mother Truong Thi Thiep had two sons, martyrs Nguyen Van Mac and Nguyen Van Tuan, who sacrificed their lives for the cause of national liberation. Mother Thiep was awarded the title “Heroic Vietnamese Mother” by the State in early 2015.

Since June 2016, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has taken care of Heroic Mother Truong Thi Thiep for life. In addition to monthly support of 1 million VND and her family to take care of Thiep's mother, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee also assigned officials to visit and encourage her health when she was sick so that she could live happily and healthily until the end of her life. In addition, on holidays and Tet, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee also organized visits, encouraged and gave gifts to Thiep's mother.

This is an activity to remember and honor the contributions of heroic Vietnamese mothers who have made many sacrifices for the cause of national liberation, building and protecting the Fatherland, thereby demonstrating the spirit of "Repaying gratitude" and the morality of "Drinking water, remember its source" of our nation./.
